Premiere Promotion
My mate Gregor is planning the upcoming premiere of his diploma short “St. Christophorus”. I always wanted to build a piece of cinema promotion stuff so I had the idea of making an actual life-size traffic sign inspired by the film poster I created earlier.
Of course, the backside is branded!
Look out for the upcoming website: www.roadkill-film.com which I designed. You can...

Being flexible
My recent project “Deserter” was a lot of fun. Since it is a WWII movie, I wanted a rough, dark and cold look for the poster.
The director provided me with some still photographs. I chose one of them, added some digital magic and turned it into the key image for all following material.

The movie has some sort of twist at the end which we didn’t want to give away on the poster...
Hardest job in the world
Working for my mate Gregor is always a pleasure. We’ve had projects for years now and we’ve been friends since our youth. I always liked his movies and he always liked my designs. A lot of fun for the both of us.
But his latest project “St.Christophorus: Roadkill” really became hard work! It is a satirical horror short. That’s where the problem starts. The design...

Two markets
As I designed the “31 North 62 East” film posters a couple of months ago, I got another phonecall recently. The film is being sold to the American market and therefore needs a different poster. It seems to be quite common to have different poster versions for different markets - not just language-wise but also concerning the actual poster design.
The process of designing the UK...

Opening Night
I got very excited when flying to the UK to finally watch the film “31 North 62 East” I’ve been working for quite a long time. I created the film posters, flyers, soundtrack CD and lots of cinema promotion material and was quite curious about it’s gonna look like.
Designing stuff on the screen and then seeing the actual printed item can be quite a surprise sometimes, and...
