Two markets
As I designed the “31 North 62 East” film posters a couple of months ago, I got another phonecall recently. The film is being sold to the American market and therefore needs a different poster. It seems to be quite common to have different poster versions for different markets - not just language-wise but also concerning the actual poster design.

The process of designing the UK poster version was a rather quick one. I developed 9 different versions which is a little above the average number of layouts.
The client was happy with the last one, I made some minor adjustments - there we had our poster!

The US version was pretty easy as the distributor liked one of the earlier layouts I made for the UK version. Some adjustments (mostly different skies) and we had the US poster version.

(UK version left, US version right)
I also added some nice 3D effect to the title typeface similar to the appearance in the film’s opening titles.
